Variety of varieties. That's Blue
We support traditional varieties, but at the same time we maintain a varied range of varieties in the area. How? Through our three styles from the Wine Capital..
The approach and style of the wine is guaranteed by the winemaker. The origin of the wine and the quality are guaranteed by Wine from Modry™.
The variety of varieties is guaranteed by vineyards
Two locations, three soils, three approaches to wine processing and about a million traditional varieties. All this in such a small vineyard area as Modra.
Our traditional varieties
Herman style is no different. Strong support of tradition with a guarantee of quality, which we guarantee with modern approaches to growing, selecting and evaluating wine.

Riesling
rhenish
The wines from it have a distinct aroma with notes of green apple, apricot, peach, complemented by the aroma of linden flower. The taste is full and extractive. The wine has fresh acidity.
Riesling
vlašský
In good positions, it gives typical varietal wines, with a slightly increased acid content, often with a delicate varietal bouquet and a aroma reminiscent of bitter almonds. It has a delicate scent similar to a linden flower on calcareous soils.
Veltliner
green
The wine of the Veltlín green variety is aromatic, with the character of a homemade fruit, almond aroma, notes of linden flower, asparagus and green peas. It has a very good taste fullness and spicy acidity.
Silvan green
For wines from this variety, we can expect an aromatic aroma with fruity and spicy notes, a full taste, extractive and spicy, with fresh acidity.
Infinitely varied varieties of white wine from Modry™
Pinot Noir
Wines from the Pinot Noir variety are full of flavor and extractive. The aroma resembles citrus fruits with notes of linden flower or other flowers. The acid should be fresh, at the same time not too harsh, but pleasant.
Palava
Pálava is a golden yellow wine with a traminy aroma of roses and complemented by a vanilla aroma. The wine is full of lower acid content, supple with a long-lasting aftertaste.
Girl grapes
The wine is slightly aromatic, with a fruity-floral aroma, the taste is full, the acid content is fresh. With this variety, great attention must be paid to obtaining the maximum amount of aromatic substances that have formed in the berries in the vineyard. Attention should also be paid to the health status of the raw material. Controlled fermentation of desilted musts is suitable.
Pinot Noir
Wine from this variety is usually golden yellow in color, honey sweet in aroma with a delicate orange. It is very drinkable, usually with a higher content of glycerol and alcohol, harmonious, supple with a subdued acid effect and a long-lasting aftertaste.
Moravian muscat
From Moravian Muscat, distinctly aromatic wines can be produced by the must fermentation system at lower temperatures, when the significant development of esters in the aroma of the wine is supported. These wines have a distinct aroma and lower fullness, but retain their acids very well.
Sauvignon blanc
The wines of Sauvignon are extremely spicy, having an intense aroma of blackcurrants, nettles or peaches, full with distinct acids. In selected positions, they achieve excellent quality and a typical varietal character.
Tramin red
The wines of the Red Tramin are distinctly aromatic with fruity notes resembling tropical fruits. The smell is pleasantly spicy and floral, with notes of roses and violets. The fresh acid content is very important. The essence of high-quality Tramin is its full taste.
Chardonnay
The wines have a very pleasant aroma of homemade fruits – ripe apple, pear, quince and peach. The taste is full and the acid is fresh. At higher degrees of ripeness, it is possible to find notes of tropical fruit in the wine. However, any burnt notes that are caused by harvesting at an inappropriate aromatic maturity are negative.
Muller-Thurgau
The wine from the Müller-Thurgau variety has a delicate nutmeg-fruity aroma, medium full and harmonious taste. It is pleasantly drinkable, of an undemanding and fresh character.
Devine
Quality wines of the Devín variety are aromatic, nutmeg-flower-spicy. Acids are mild and spicy even in higher quality levels. Optimal residual sugar supports the taste and aromatic experience.
Pesecká leánka
It is a Romanian variety that originated at the beginning of the 20th century in the village of Danešť in the Sighisoara district. According to Romanian sources, it is a cross between the Girl grape variety and the original Romanian Grasa de Cotnari variety.
Irsai Oliver
Iršai Oliver is an aromatic wine with a nutmeg tone, which I often supplemented with fine spiciness. The wine has a lower acid content and is very fresh, especially when young.

Frankovka blue
After the hard notes associated with young wines have been softened, a pleasant spiciness appears, combined with fruitiness and a strong manifestation of the extractive wine typical of Nordic wine regions, which in the best vintages is characterized by softness.
Danube
The Danube is a very high-quality variety. It gives wines a dark red color, with a strong taste fullness. The taste and aroma are notes of overripe cherries and sour cherries, which go all the way to very interesting chocolate notes.
Nitria
Nitria, a variety that was created by the same crossing as Hron, and yet has different properties and surprises the consumer with its taste and intense color.
Merlot
The wine is usually dark ruby to garnet in color. Typical is the sweet smell of black cherries or compote, which is complemented by the smell of plums, figs and, when bottle ripe, by the smell of tobacco and coffee.
Hron
Hron belongs to the Slovak new nobles, who were created by the hard work of Mrs. Dorota Pospíšilová and her colleagues, and today we can taste wine from this beautiful variety.
Rimava
A variety of cabernet type, not demanding on nutrients, with good yield and sugar content - that's Rimava.
St. Lawrence
Wine from Svätovavrinecký is characterized by higher color intensity, higher levels of acids and tannins. The taste is full, distinct and velvety. It resembles prunes in aroma.
Torysa
Less well known, but it still has its place. Another Slovak "river" named Torysa was created under the hands of Dorota Pospíšilová. The wine from it is exceptional, it has plenty of tannins, as well as anthocyanins...
Weight
We do not mean the longest Slovak river, except for the river that flows directly from the bottle into the glass. This is another Slovak new nobleman who was created under the hands of Dorota Pospíšilová.
Alibernet
The wine is very dark red in color with aromatic substances after Cabernet Sauvignon. It is medium and full, with a higher content of tannins, which slowly mature to neutral softness.
Rudava
Blue must variety bred in Slovakia by Dorota Pospíšilová. Long-term work has borne fruit, so today we already have the opportunity to taste wines from Rudava as well.

We unite those who make wine and those who enjoy it
