Wine from Modry™ is a Slovak winegrowing and wine appellation that currently unites 12 Modran winemakers with a view to further expansion.

The goal of the appeal is to guarantee the origin and quality of wines to the customer from the Modra wine-growing district, which falls under one of the six wine-growing areas in Slovakia - the Small Carpathian wine-growing region.

Besides, the appeal brings a unique system of wine styleswhich rely on easy recognition so that the customer can easily choose what he wants - light and fresh wines from the Florian style, fuller and mature wines from the Vincent style or serious wines from selected varieties typical of Blue from the Herman style.

The association that created and manages the appeal aims to create a customer-attractive wine system based on the origin and quality of wines and to be a quality association for its members and participate in the creation of Modra, as a good place to live, and also be an important partner of the city of Modra in the development of tourism in the region.

One of the pillars of the association is organization of quality events in the regionwhich are of different nature, focus on target groups and the period and regularity with which they take place. This mainly includes the event Winemakers in Chotári™, Wine Market in Modre™ and Modranské Viného Day™ or Vínostan™, which is part of the city event Modranské vintage.

The Wine of Blue appeal brings system of styles of Modran wineswhich rely on easy recognition so that the customer can easily choose what he wants - light and fresh wines from the Florian style, fuller and mature wines from the Vincent style or serious wines from selected varieties typical of Blue from the Herman style.

Herman

The most serious thing you will find here. Herman's Blue.

Herman style you will find large wines with potential for bottle aging. We have selected for you the varieties that we consider to be the most traditional in Modra. Taste full Riesling, Veltliner and Silvana.

Vincent

Multiform, like a soul itself.

Mature and long-lived. Single vineyard, but also cuvée. Do you like sur lie, new wood or mineral concrete? You are right here.

Florian

Beautifully simple, simply beautiful. The freshest thing we have.

In Florian style you will find wines with great esprit and zest for life. Wines that are playful, despite the fact that they don't have to be just young. Their primary expressive aromatics make them a good companion for casual refreshment.

We, Modran winemakers, referring to the thousand-year history of grape growing and wine production in our city, unite in this association of winemakers and winegrowers, for the purpose of preserving and elevating the viticultural and wine tradition in Modra.

Referring to the generations of our fathers who, through hard work, improved the farmstead and built the Modranské víno brand at home and around the world, we undertake to continue their legacy.

We therefore declare that we will prioritize quality over quantity, natural wine-making processes over unnatural interventions, protect our vineyards, prioritize varieties typical of the Lesser Carpathian region when planting and restoring vineyards, improve the countryside and spread the good name of the city of Modra at home and around the world.
