A little culture and history
Modra is known for wine, ceramics and Štúr. Everyone here has their own “temple”. Wine in the form of wineries, wine shops and restaurants. You can find ceramics in the production and company store of Slovak folk majolica. In addition to the fact that you can buy a few beautiful pieces here, the locals will be happy to give you an excursion in production, and for the more beautiful ones, creative workshops are also available, where you can decorate your piece of ceramics in an original way. The Ľudovít Štúr Museum will introduce you to the life and activities of Ľudovít Štúr in Modra. Cycling
Accept the sports challenge and swing across the ridge of the Small Carpathians to Záhorie. The route runs almost its entire length along a paved road until a short section leading to Čermáková lúka. The circuit starts and ends in Modra. The route has a total of 39 km and is suitable for trekking bikes.
As an easier version of cycling, we recommend the new cycle route from Modra to Šenkvíce, which leads between picturesque vineyards.
