Open Viechy - Fedor Malík and son
It may surprise you, but excellent sparkling wines are also produced by Small Carpathian winemakers, with the same "méthode traditionnelle" as in the French Champagne region. It also belongs to them malík and syn winery. It focuses primarily on the production of premium still and sparkling wines, from its own grapes from first-class Modran hounds. The wines from this winery are intended for demanding people who are looking for a story, idea and character in wine. If you go to Malíkovci for a tasting, Slovak Tuscany awaits you. The winery is located in a neo-Renaissance house on the square in Modra, which the family bought in 2010. This year, the building received an award for exemplary restoration in the region. At the tasting, you can meet Professor Fedor Malík, who has been associated with the fame and glory of the Small Carpathian wine region and wine since the seventies of the 20th century. He is a pioneer in the promotion of Slovak wines and also a gourmet, an excellent storyteller and writer. He founded a workplace dedicated to the study of wine at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology of STU. Well, his son Fedor Jr. is a phenomenon of his generation, as usual after his father.
Open Sciences Project:
The goal of the Open Viechy project, which he organizes OOCR Small Carpathians, is to allow visitors to taste the Lesser Carpathian wines, to get to know their producers directly and to talk to them about wine production. Different winemakers are logged in for different dates, follow our site and meet them all.

Each tasting starts at 18:00 and takes place directly in the cellar, in the gate of the vineyard house, in the vineyard or in the garden of the selected winemaker. After tasting for the purchased ticket, you can continue tasting according to the current offer and the price list of the winery until the lid is closed at 9:00 p.m.
